In a period of rapid change reshaping international commerce and relations, the GCC has been a cornerstone of stability and vision, driving towards a new trade reality.
The region maintains strong relations with global markets, spurring steady economic expansion, with its GDP reaching US$2.16 trillion in 2024 and forecasted to grow to US$2.25 trillion by 2026, according to the IMF. The Kingdom of Bahrain distinguishes itself as the Gulf's most diversified economy, achieving an 86% non-oil contribution to GDP in 2024 whilst sustaining a substantial pipeline of over US$30 billion in strategic projects, reinforcing its role as a dynamic investment destination.
Bahrain's sophisticated and expanding infrastructure, alongside business-supportive policies, a highly-skilled and future-ready talent pool, and an innovation-friendly environment have driven growth across key sectors — from financial services, manufacturing, logistics, information and communication technology, and tourism — creating a robust platform for rethinking global investment strategies.
Since 2018, Bahrain has served as the launchpad for the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum, now in its third edition, connecting global investors with the GCC’s top decision-makers, priority projects, and Bahrain’s own role in shaping the region’s economic future.
